Folks, amazingly there has not been a Madison Reptile group before that I know of. A friend of mine put one together and its off to a good start.
I think meetings are at Animart, next one is January 21 from 8-10 pm. I can't make the meeting but I am definitely into this.
This is their facebook group, no website yet but its in the works from what I understand.

I used to have a pair of Jackson's Chameleons. Currently have four rescue turtles: 2 Red-eared sliders, Florida cooter and a common musk.

Nice, I used to keep a lot of turtles and tortoises and they are a lot of fun. Love the musks

Put some diamondback terrapins in that saltwater tank -- that would really be cool! It would keep the bristleworms in check, maybe.

I used to live in Columbus Ohio and they had a show/swap once a month that was extremely well organized. I suggest getting into contact with someone at the following http://www.allohioshows.com. In order to really enjoy a hobby a sustaining community of supporters is very nice to have.
A bonus for the All Ohio show was these guys... http://www.rodentpro.com/. No shipping and handling made for extremely cheap and really helped grow the area well for different python morphologies.
