Cleaner Shrimp and Coral Banded Shrimp
I have a question for everybody, we are trying to sell our house and have two saltwater tanks set up currently. One is a 75 and the other a 37. Our agent suggested that we take down one of the tanks, I have no problem combining the 37 into the 75, as there are only four fish in the small tank. The thing I worry about is that we have a Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp in one tank and a Coral Banded in the other. Can I combine these two guys, or will the Coral Banded go after my cleaner? Wondering if anyone has any ideas or experience with this. Thanks

Re: Cleaner Shrimp and Coral Banded Shrimp
CBS have a tendency to be hard on other shrimp tankmates, at least in my LFS experience. A 75 is a lot of room, though, so it might be fine. Whether you chance it could just depend on how risk averse you are.
You might also just leave the tanks the way they are; my experience is that real estate agents have a pretty conservative view of what sells houses. We have 2 tanks and over a dozen reptiles and our last house sold in under a week for more than asking price. Unless the tank is an unholy festering mess, I doubt it would turn off a buyer.

Re: Cleaner Shrimp and Coral Banded Shrimp
Though the Banded Coral Shrimp can be aggressive towards other Banded Coral Shrimp and smaller shrimp of different species, most are peaceful towards fish, corals, and invertebrates within your aquarium. Because of its aggressive disposition towards other Banded Coral Shrimp, the Banded Coral Shrimp should be housed individually or kept as a true mated pair.
