So... what'd you get at DFS?

Postby mrsquid on Sat Mar 08, 2008 5:57 pm

I'll be the 1st to ask it - what did you guys pick up during your field trip to Rhinelander? Hopefully you guys left some good stuff for us FVRC folk that are heading up there NEXT Saturday. ;)

(really hoping none of you snagged that pink birdsnest... [-X )

Well, we bought all the $3,500 angels, so I geuss you cant see those :P

Look forward to the experience, it was an increadible trip and we all had a lot of fun there. I know I walked away with a very nice sized trumpet coral for a great price after talking to Kevin. Oh, but it is a shame they sold all of that birdsnest, it was really pretty :P

Yeah, I deffinately got a discount over what they were asking online, Kevin did a very good job of making all of the corals a very nice price for all of us. And yes, I was just joking about the whole birds nest, I am pretty sure they take them down as part of the process of selling the corals, so if they are on the site they are probably in the facility.

Yeah what was also cool was having access to a lot of things that werent or havent been posted on the site. Kevin was good to talk to and he made himself really accessible to us...I think we must have chatted with him for like 4 hours on and off!!! You guys will have a great time and there wont be any shortage of corals.

I bought a set of bird food containers for my wife. It said $12.99 on the side of it. They charged me $15.99 and didn’t give me a 10% discount. Guess I should have looked at the receipt when I bought it. Grrr! Not as if 10% off in this case would amount to anything, but it is just irritating!
